Pic(k) of the week 3: DHOW BUILDING, Dubai

In the first week of the new year, I headed out to the Dhow building site opposite Festival city in Dubai. Somebody from the US interested in my photography, inspired me to document the centuries old heritage of building wooden cargo ships. In the region these custom made boats, that still take cargo from Dubai to countries like Iran, Pakistan and India, on a daily basis, are traditionally called Dhows.

The tryptic below consists of three images shot that winter day early 2017.  To do them justice I believe that the three images make for a better representation while the vintage look will hopefully send the viewer back in time. Please click on the image below for a full size view.
